Vyse Amps was set up by Barry Vyse in the 1990’s to carry on his love for valves and valve technology. Barry used to run the Marconi Osram Valve (MOV) Company in London which used to manufacture the famous KT88 and KT66’s valves in years gone by. Barry has a PhD in Electronics and knows more about valves than is humanly possible!

After a brief connection with Torres Amps in the US , Barry and his long term associate, Jason Sansome starting developing the Vyse brand of guitar amplifier that we know now.

Jason has been designing, modifying and building guitar and hifi amps with Barry for over 20 years. This coupled with the fact that he has been playing guitar for nearly all his life ensures our amps do what everyone expects them to do.

To ensure that the Vyse brand continues for many years to come, Barry and Jason took on a new colleague in 2023. Simon Bartlett joined the team and is helping develop all area’s of the business. Simon has a Bsc in electronics and similar to Jason, loves to bang out great blues riffs.

Vyse Amps has now become Vyse Amplification and we are currently developing our range into a ‘new look’ but ‘same great tone’ series of Guitar amps to suit all players.
