Roland SP808	Released in 1998, this is one strange beastie, combining sampling with hard-disk recording straight to Zip Drive. Obviously its hard-disk recording days are long gone as 100Mb doesn't go very far nowadays! Its strength, however, lies in its ability to give very quick access to 1024 samples from the 16 front panel pads (16 x 64 banks). This combined with time stretch, filtering and other effects makes it an ideal sampler for DJ's needing easy access to an extensive library.		£299
